Training and Equipment
We Improve the quality of national and local health care systems.
Our local partner health services are chronically under-resourced and overworked. The bright and hard working staff face long hours, shortages of supplies, and limited continuing education to help them keep up with global best practices. Most public hospitals lack equipment and supplies, while shoestring budgets leave an overburdened health system needing urgent support.
Public hospitals and clinics are severely overstretched and underfunded, so we provide containers of donated equipment and supplies.
Medical professionals need continuing education to learn new practices and technology, and to keep sharp with their existing skills. So we provide training on a number of specialized topics that Hospital leadership requests.
The country lacks specialists and training programs, so we are contribute equipment and supplies towards new training programs with the government, such as the new Emergency Medicine Program in Tegucigalpa.
Training
VHC leverages our international medical experts to train local health partners in the latest best practices.
Equipment
We also collect medical equipment and supplies from US medical partners for use in under-resourced hospitals and clinics in Honduras.
